Thankful and it happens to be Thursday!

Okay I have been buried under mountains of laundry. I never got fully unpacked from spring break, I have been trying to homeschool, we had a birthday celebration, along with the easter holiday and we have had 3-7 active kids in and out of the house for the last 2 weeks. Of course they all do their laundry... here... at my house... okay, their house... in my laundry room... that I share with them. So today Sarah and I had a marathon laundry day and it was good!! Little Sarah had done lots of folding in China, I showed her my technique, she caught on right away and well, yep, it's all done! Go Sarah, Go Mommy, Go Sarah, Go Mommy- we are doing the laundry dance!! While folding we were rockin to the local christian music station! Did I mention we got our school work done, cleaned the car inside and out, had a bangs trim and made it to our ESL class- definitely a yippee Jesus day!!

So what am I thankful for... wow, so much!

I am thankful for a sweet little 9 yr old girl who is so fun to be with!

I am thankful that we will be traveling to KC and we will be meeting our bloggy friend Lori and her family!

I am thankful for my washers and dryers- they are wonderful! They are able to conquer any laundry task!

I am thankful for our dear Lord and even when the opposition rears it's ugly head we know he is there and he will guide us to the truth, to what is good, and what is right. We will follow him!

I am thankful that little Anna's diaper is dry in the morning... now if she will only go in the potty we will be all set! Any ideas? I am seriously thinking of offering candy!

I am thankful for the spring weather that has managed to find MN!

I am thankful for bloggy friends that post comments and are so encouraging of our journey! I am thankful that I can hopefully encourage others! This truly is the road less traveled, we might as well travel it together!

Blessings to you!
Jean

Looks like you had a very active and productive day! You certainly did have a mountain of laundry. I just have 4 people total to do laundry for and sometimes I think it won't stop finding me. ;)

I love all of the things you are thankful for. You always have a lovely attitude on life. Sweet post.

I always love reading your post. You are such a positive person, even when we talked and things are always going the way you want it to, you always find something to be postive about in each situation.

Ok, I'm here to admit that I am extremely "jealous" of your TWO washers and dryers!! Wow, you must get all that laundry done super fast! :)

I'm super excited about dinner Saturday night!! We are going to have so much fun!

See ya soon!!!

Ok, Kelly read your blog and looked up at me and READ TO ME all that you accomplished in one day. HUH! Then he said,"I see no reason why YOU can't get that much done in a day."

To which I said, "I don't have a 9 year old Chinese girl helping me!"

He said, "No but you do have a 14 year old white boy!"

Well it's hardly the same.

From now on, start writing about how messy your house is, undone laundry, messy cars...you get the idea. You are making me look bad! :)

Too funny!

Candy, well it worked for me and it only took a little. For one of my boys cotton candy was the trick. I bought a big bag and put a tiny amount in snack bags. Everytime he went he got some cotton candy. It worked! Another one worked with skittles (i gave about three each time). After a while I quit offering and they were used to the potty and didn't expect it anymore. I hope you find something that works!

Oh, and I so wish I had double washer and dryers! My husband had suggested double dishwashers and I turned him down, I should've listened! I can never keep up with the dishes or the laundry!

I am so happy to see Sarah doing so well, you are such an encouragement! Only 23 more days until we meet our little girl. I hope she does as well as Sarah!

Take Care, Jennifer O
