Oh no... snow!

This is what we woke up to this morning- ahhhhhhh. We heard there might be a little snow flurries but I didn't believe it. I certainly didn't think it would stay on the ground. What a shocker this morning to look out the windows and see snow cover!

We haven't even winterized yet- pots, sand and water table, tramp, tables, chairs and cushions are all still outside. It will be cold enough today for it to stay on the ground but it should melt SOON!

This is our back yard with snow. The fall pics are from a parcel of land a mile away from our house. It is a pretty and peaceful spot. Some of you may know we have had more than a few challenges with a neighbor. We often (always) have to give it to God in prayer. We sometimes dream of a little more space and freedom. For now we stay put and see where God leads us in our journey. We are so grateful to our Lord and couldn't be happier! Thank you Jesus!

She's already playing in the snow!! The snow off of my shoe that is! Kids just have so much fun with the simplest things!

I know...can you believe it!? I woke up this morning and seen all that "white fluff" too!! I was shocked to see so much still on the ground, yet most of the leaves still on our trees... a great deal fo them still GREEN!! Crazy! I'm glad Martin blew the lines of our sprinkler system and drained our fountain yesterday (after breaking the thin layer of ice off the top!) It's so early, yet!! I know it will likely be gone yet today, but it was definitely a surprise to see. I'm getting ready to do my own post, as Martin took some pictures, too! :)

Have a blessed weekend!! <><

Oh I am sooo with you---aaaahhhh! Our high today is not even near 20, but then again, we do live at 8500 altitude. We have had so much snow already. I think we're in for a VERY long winter :(

Worse things could happen, I know. Trying to have a great attitude about it. I am SO not a cold weather girl.

Thank you for praying about our benefit tonight--pray the snow doesn't keep anyone away.
Love and hugs

Ahhh, the beauty of snow. There ought to be a rule that it can't snow until all the leaves have changed colors and fallen off the trees. (I think there's a children's book where it can't snow until the last leaf falls off or something like that). Fall is my favorite time of the year and I hate to think you might get rushed right through it:-)

I have to say, that land with the pond/lake is gorgeous.

Oh no!! I am so not into snow yet. I grew up in Buffalo & lived there till I was 31, so I have seen enough snow to last a lifetime....I know its coming, but ugh....

Want to meet me in Phx sometime? We could have some warm fun, don't ya' think?? xo

Ick! So you got pictures, huh? :) I was not too thrilled to see the snow and I just tried to ignore it. Luckily, it didn't last long.
I just want Fall, not Winter for Pete's sake!

Oh my goodness snow already? For a Texas "girl" who had the opportunity to spend one year in Minneapolis, I would be loving it!!

Thanks for stopping by our blog, sorry it has taken me a few days to answer your question -- yes, Mimi is the grandmother (me). These little darlings belong to my daughter (and son-in-law too of course :) When my first grandchild was 'on his way', 20 years ago this month, I thought I was WAY too young to be "Grandma" so Mimi is what I chose --- seems to fit ok and now my great nieces and nephews and all of my grandchildren's friends call me Mimi too! I like this a lot!!

I've enjoyed your blog and will be stopping by to keep up with your journey to bring those two daughters home. What a beautiful family you have and what special people you are.

Ummm... what are y'all? Canadian? Heh. No snow here. We are still in that tricky weather where it swings from morning jackets to afternoon flip flops. (Do you hate me now? Because I meant that to be comforting. Because this is annoying.)

Oh, goodness, I am so not ready for that view (although it is very beautiful). Here in Indiana, we hope for snow on Christmas day and after, which usually is the way we get it. Nothing like waking up Christmas morning to snow!

I bed your girls were so excited to see it and let alone, get to play in the leftovers from your cute!

Oh no!

Our first winter in MN, after moving from Houston, TX, we had a light snow in SEPT!!!! We wondered what we had gotten ourselves into! Now I would move back in a heartbeat if I could!
