This Weekend!

We played at the park with friends! The girls met a new friend at the park! Her name is Haley. Haley is 16 yrs old and has downs syndrome. The girls were so kind to her, it made this Momma's heart proud! They played with her until she had to leave. Even her care giver commented on the immediate acceptance they extended to their new friend! Thank You Jesus!

They loved playing with their friends Savannah and Aliyah (they are twins and as cute as can be)! It was a beautiful day- perfect for a late afternoon romp in the park! Their Mom and I visited!

All the girls had the flu mist, so we are ready for the winter!

Ellie tried to ride a two wheeler.

And she DID IT!!!

We are so proud of her! Great job Honey!!

We went on a Hay Ride!

We all had fun!

We picked pumpkins in the pumpkin patch!

We washed them and brought them home!

We also got our Halloween costumes! The girls are planning to be a Cat, a Witch, a Ladybug and a Butterfly!

Emma and Ellie can't believe that people are going to put candy in their treat baskets! What a deal!

Hubby and I also had a date Saturday Night! Yes, you read that right!! We went to a movie and then had sushi and headed back home! It was so fun!

It was a great weekend!!

I can't wait for Ava and Sam to join us!

Your weekend sounds full of happiness!!!

Just think this time next year you will be taking Ava and Sam on hay rides!!!

So great to see a smile trying to creep on Emma's face. She has come a long way. It's amazing what a little (or a lot) of love can do. Sounds like a wonderful weekend.

I love watching the sweet play of children with those who have special needs. Maybe because we have Laura, I know how much I'm touched by others' compassion...and hurt by those who treat her like she's contagious. Way to go on that bike, Ellie, and keep up that beautiful smile, Emma. Your girls look so happy! Ummm...I think you're gonna need another bale of hay so you all fit on that hayride next year! :)

Sounds like a marvelous weekend, with lots of fun.
I love the name you've chosen for Ava. I think it's really cute and I think it fits so well.

I'd like to hear more about what you think will happen with your timelines to adopt Sam and Ava. You can tell me in person sometime maybe.
Hope to see you this week or next.
Have a great week!

My cousin has a daughter with downs. I remember him specifically telling me how hurtful it was when kids would not play with her at the park.
