Changing Directions

Thank you all so much
for your support, your prayers, your words of encouragement and bible verses!
We are so grateful for your kindness and we are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love.

The challenges periodically continue and we do ask for your continued prayer.

I have already written
FOR GOODNESS SAKE... THEY'RE CHILDREN... part 2

But the more I write about hate, anger, discrimination, bullying, intimidation-
the more it bothers me.
I do not like to spend... even a moment of our day thinking about such things.

We cannot change these people
but God can
so we will continue to pray for them
and
MOVE ON!

As far as our family-
 We are choosing JOY!
We are choosing to focus on all that is good, that is God, that is positive and kind.

We are focusing on 2 sweet boys that will be coming home soon!

We are focusing on our children with October birthdays-
Johnny
Mia
and
Madeline!

We are preparing for Madeline's eye surgery this month.

And hoping we can get things together for Halloween costumes and gathering candy.

Every day we are doing the best we can do with all we have to do.

Most likely I will never post Part 2...
But, I will if things get worse and we need to post for documentation, protection and prayer.

This blog is meant for family, for adoption, for encouragement and for GOD!

Sharing our joys with you makes me more joyful!
I love how you marvel with me over the children-
whether they are mine or yours!

GOD has heard your prayers and He has blessed us!
Please continue praying until this is over.
I will keep you updated.
Thank you!

We have some amazing news that we will soon share with you!

I will continue to pray!! I understand why you would not post part 2. You're helping others to respond in a godly way to such ungodly attacks!
May God bless you over and over!

Lets all pray for these who have been spiteful etc....they are mostly hurting themselves and they cant be truly happy or have the peace that we have in living for God. Blessings on your day Jean!

I agree with you Jean. The more you focus on them the more fuel you add to their fire. Snuff it out and kill them with kindness. :) prayers...

Thank you, Jean, for keeping your eyes on Jesus and pointing to Him!

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."

Your attitude is inspiring! Continuing to pray for you.

May I suggest that you do send part II to someone close to you so you have proof of when it was written? - just in case, G-d forbid, you ever need it.

I just wanted to say how much you have inspired me with your joy. Your blog is a feel good place to just see how much another family truly loves each of its children and seeks God in living this journey. I have prayed for your family and will continue to and just wanted to thank you for sharing all the joys you live even during times of trials. I know we are often asked why we choose to do what we do and I am forever amazed that not everyone gets the absolute joy of parenting kiddos and that special needs just add to the adventure. God has been so amazing in how he has guided us through the ups/downs of navigating a society that doesn't embrace everyone equally.

Continuing to pray for your wonderful family, Jean. It is so pleasing to God that you are choosing to pray for those who are choosing to hat, what an example for your children. What a glorious day it will be when the hearts of the evil ones will be changed! Truly love your family, even though we have never met...hopefully, one day we will.

Good for you Jean!!! Negativity just breeds negativity although I do think your post 1 was very insightful. Not saying I am glad it is happening, Heavens no. What I am saying is if we turn away from hatred instead of meeting it head on, we might never resolve it. "Meeting it head on" is best done with praying. I cannot change people and how they view things but I can pray for them and hopefully, their hearts will melt. I believe all the people praying for you and your family are going to see good things arise from their prayers. Onto brighter things....you really have to leave us hanging with your news.....I can't take the suspense....so happy positive things are happening and cannot wait to hear more. Prayers being sent your way.

Sorry you and your family are having to deal with peoples rudeness and ignorance. Every child deserves a family to call their own. Prayers your way.

I hear ya, but if you haven't done so, PLEASE consider a protective order, if they will give you one, to keep these haters away from your dear family.

Praying for your safety, so your family can be free to just love.

You are my earthly hero. I wish I was more like you but I will have to be content with my two adopted treasures. God has made you very special. You have a huge heart and patience that is amazing. You were put on this earth to love these children and to be an example to others. Keep on doing what you are doing. We will be praying and loving you! If we all have to fly to Minnesota to put up a barrier of love against haters than we will do just that. Just say the word.

I love your Huainan Mia- she stole my heart; God didn't see her in my family cuz Amy Nuan and her wouldn't mix...Kerry and her are super competitive at 5yrs apart just the same in different bodies! Mia should be their sister! jk....she is a tough cookie...stubborn and Huainan are a synonym trust me and that is that! Love your love and I hope you are moving to sunny southern CA. you won't be dissapointed. Sorry for the work when you know that WAY too well, God Bless you and yours

our son is at Columbia....just so you have peace...when we asked him to write a letter to Holt about his accepting a new sibling ( our 4th)...he told me I was crazy and was sooo mad at me. I wrote the letter and threatened to cut the cell phone and monthly stipend for his grad school life. He spent the summer home with us and is in love with our newest Kerry. He just wrote a blog for the LA weekly to talk about how he has love in his family and will do more write ups about the orphans cuz "I want my talent to do good in the world" "My sisters deserve that" No her doesn't think that he is shorted...he went to China 2 times and get it. Walk on in peace and truth...play hard..work hard every single day!
