Happy First Birthday, Jake!

He's been waiting all of his life...
for this day!
It's his very first birthday celebration and
it didn't happen until our boy turned 10...

We are so thankful that he is home
and we can celebrate with him for the rest of his life!

Jake was so excited for this day!
He couldn't stop talking about it
and then the day came...
and he was sooo nervous...
Oh sweet boy,
you can relax, have fun and just enjoy yourself!

Because today will be a GREAT day!
It's your 10th birthday!

Opening their birthday presents is always the highlight of the party!

Jake went with Dad to get birthday donuts and a special drink!
(Just like Jenny did and Anna will do the next day!)
Then we went to Jumpstreet and the kids jumped for an hour!
After that we got ready for the party!
Yes, I just realized he was wearing the same clothes as yesterday(Jenny's party)...
shhhh, don't tell anyone!

He loved every gift!
The kids cheered him on as he opened them!
He really wanted roller blades of his own!

And a helmet with safety gear!
He was wearing Emma's pink helmet before he got his own!

Legos to do with his brothers!
A watch, remote control car and walkie talkies
were all gifts that he asked for!
When it comes to birthday lists we have some good helpers!
The kids are always thinking ahead to what they might want to ask for!

We opened gifts earlier today
so he would have enough time to play with his toys!

Jake got a birthday cake from Ben and Jerry's!

He loved his celebration!

He had no idea how to blow out candles!
Looks like we need to do some practicing for next year!

Happy 1st/10th Birthday
to you!

God is so GOOD!

LOL! I remember my daughter's 8th birthday party, the first one she ever had, and at that time she still didn't understand what birthdays were or what age was or what it meant, but it didn't occur to me that she didn't know how to blow out the candles until the time came to do it. It was so funny and cute and sad at the same time. I have it on video. What a moment!
