Our life is so interesting! There is never a dull moment! I am sure many of you with older adoptees feel the same way!
The other day we were looking through open houses- just for fun! Sarah was standing by the front door of this extra large house (definitely not a home, it was a house). A woman was muttering to herself "where did Diane go?" Sarah looks at her and says with complete confidence "she went down there" and points. The woman strains her neck to look down the entryway stairs for her friend.
I was perplexed by this brief conversation. I just had to ask " Sarah, how do you know who her friend is and where she is?"
Again, with complete confidence Sarah answers me "I saw her walk down there!"
Still perplexed I said "But how do you know who that woman's friend is? I mean just cause you saw someone walk down the stairs doesn't mean it was her friend?"
Sarah looks at me and shrugs her shoulders.
At that moment the woman looks behind her into the house and there is her friend- she leaves.
I'm still standing there... perplexed. Sarah has moved on with the same confidence she always had... she is un phased!
We often describe our sweet daughter as always certain but not always right!
So many things like that happen... daily... where we just have to giggle inside!

Oh...... :) Sometimes laughter helps to relieve those crazy moments :)
You have to love her confidence:-) I love how our children's responses keep us laughing (and young:-)
Wait till she starts driving!! My middle daughter - although she has never had an accident and is an excellent driver now - what she lacked in skill she made up for with confidence - scary times for mom and dad :-D
THAT is the funniest thing I've heard all day. Bahaha!! That girl is a hoot!
Toooooo sweet! What a lovely story to start my day :)
Oh my! This is funny...because it reminds me of Yana sometimes! She "knows" everything about animals and always sounds very convincing!
Too funny!!! Some people just have a gift for being right. :))
