We have an update!

Just before CNY I realized that getting an update during this time just wasn't going to happen. I was finally at peace about it. I did not give up hope but I had stopped checking my e-mail every 15 minutes.

My e-mail has been acting up lately and I cannot access my spam folder. Last night hubby called me from his office and said "Did you see it?"
"See what?"
"We got our update!"

I could hardly sit still while he was forwarding it to me! Of course once I got it I could not open the pictures- ugh. Hubby kept trying to send them to me in a different way but it was our oldest son Matt that changed the format and then sent them to me! Thank you Matty!!

The pictures are so precious! I am amazed at the difference in these girls from the time they arrived at the SWI until now. They have been transformed from scared little girls to happy children. They both have had the blessings of been involved in Half the Sky preschool and Grace and Hope foster homes. Honestly I think these programs have made a big difference in the potential, the happiness and their ability to adjust.

We got measurements on the girls!
Emma is 4ft 2 in and Ellie is 4 ft- they both are a healthy weight and have smiles on their faces!!

The girls like school. Emma's favorite subject is Phy Ed ;-) and Ellie's is music. Their favorite activity is dance. They like younger children and they are kind to them (which is good news for Anna).

Emma is described as honest and has good behavior. Ellie is active and lively! The pic above says it all!!

They like to play together and with other other children. They like hide and seek and jump rope!

They like pretty and colorful clothes!

They both know a little bit of English- yippee!!

Both girls are excited to be adopted and come to America! I have no idea if this is actually true BUT we are going to choose to believe it!

Thank you Jesus!!

We are on 56 days and counting! Does anyone know if C2A2 is working on LOA's right now? How long do they take off for CNY?

Wow, what a wonderful blessing from the Lord! Don't you just love it when God surprises us when we aren't expecting it?! I think He enjoys it too!

I think the C2A2 is closed for a week during CNY...??? But I'm not totally sure. But it sure seems to *me* that LOAs have been arriving a lot faster than usual. Just MY observation. Don't bank on that though!

The girls are simply gorgeous!

What a sweet surprise indeed! So nice that Matt was able to help you open the photos. That often happens to me. I guess I don't have the latest edition of some of the necessary software, so sometimes I need it put in a different format.

CUTE PHOTO! The girls DO look so happy, and I'm sure they are excited to join your family...I know I would be!!! :)

Glad to hear what Mandi said about C*A* opening back up on Monday. I had heard they were closed for a full 2 weeks, so this is good news if it is correct.

Blessings and Hugs,
~ Tanya

It is amazing on how when you tell yourself something won't happen and you get a awesome surprise. They look Happier each time you get a update and it is nice to hear that they know they are being adopted. I hope it will make it easier on them, to adjust to that. Congrats to you.

Jean -

They are simply beautiful! When we were there last week, several shops and restaurants were closing and said they were taking a week off. Hope that helps.

Glad to be back in the USA!

Janet and gang (Kevin, Ted,Philip, and Eli)
