We are continuing to get settled into our home in Colorado.
And very soon
a bundle of "big kids" will be coming to visit us!
We want them to like it here...
We want them to feel at home...
We want them to come often...
So, as hubby and I were planning out what we still needed to do for the guest area,
Sam walks up to us and says...
"You know, there's a bat in the room downstairs"...
my stomach turned...
my mind swirled and all I could think of...
was
"of course there is a bat downstairs"
That's the way my life goes...
Not to mention the fact that I hate bats...
I love how they eat the mosquitoes
but
I'm deathly afraid of them...
Please God say it ain't so...
And of course...
no one tell Katie
because maybe she won't come with the babies
if there is a bat downstairs...
We need to call an exterminator right away
before they come to visit
and get that thing out!
Sam continous on,
"It's a real one, Mom."
"C'mon
let me show you..."
All the while,
I'm praying
hopefully
it's a
"dead" bat...
My stomach is turning
but I am curious...
We walk into the work room and Sam says,
"See, here it is!"
"And it's a real one!"
Look below!
We could hardly contain ourselves!
Yes, Sam!
You're right!
It's a real one!
Whew!
Crisis averted!
Hubby looks at me and says...
this has to be a blog post!
